Within 48 hours of completing various area �Turkey Trots�, 39 of South Central PA�s finest athletes donned their running shoes for Race #1 of the Winter Series.  Lynn Danner took top honors in 18:39.   Taking third overall was Jennifer Gerhart in 21 flat.

 Congratulations to the Manning family on their first 5K race!  Thirteen-year-old Sean Manning ran a speedy 21:36 and captured the 5th spot overall.  Alex Manning ran a steady 31:35.

 Many of today�s runners and helpers completed marathons this month including: Frank Crupi (New York), Hap Miller (Harrisburg), Dave Lebo (Harrisburg) , Steve Whittle (Harrisburg) and Richard Lengler (Harrisburg).  Most outstanding marathon performance goes to 83-year-old (always-there-when-you-need-him) Charles Laverty, who completed the Harrisburg Marathon this year.

Thanks to all runners for their generosity.  We�re off to a good start with our DVS donation.  Hope to see you all back on 12/20/08!
