ANNVILLE, Pa. – Kelly Zuknick and Jon Catlett (North Chatham, NY/Albany Academy) each finished second individually to lead the Gettysburg women’s and men’s cross country teams to top three finishes at the Lebanon Valley Invitational on Saturday.

Racing in her first collegiate 5K event, Zuknick posted a time of 20:06.33 to finish second behind Dickinson’s Alexandra Forte and help the Bullet women finish second out of 23 teams.  Fellow newcomer Alexandra Felix placed 13th overall in a time of 21:05.87 while Megan McGolrick (Gaithersburg, MD/Damascus) finished 15th in 21:06.86.

Laura Osmian (21st, 21:22.45) and Allison Small (Vestal, NY/Vestal) (26th, 21:31.13) rounded out the top five for Gettysburg, which totaled 77 team points to finish 36 points behind first-place Dickinson.

On the men’s side, Catlett reaffirmed his status as Gettysburg’s top runner by placing second overall in a time of 26:51.76, his best showing since running a personal-record 26:06.39 at the 1998 Gettysburg Invitational.

Ray Gephart (Croydon, PA/Harry S. Truman) chopped an amazing 3:05.93 off his personal-best time, finishing 11th overall in a time of 27:43.33.  His previous best was a 30:49.26 showing during the 1998 season.
