Wildwood Lake 5K or 10K - AGCS Race On this rainy Sunday, a great group of 34 runners braved the wet for an Age Group Champion Series race. Fortunately, the rain actually held off during the race. Many runners even remarked that after steamy temperatures the day before, it was refreshing to run in 60 some degree weather. Two young runners joined us - Collin Lacey, 14 years old from Susquehanna High School and Kyle Snyder from Susquehanna University. We hope to see more high school and college runners as they prepare for their upcoming cross country seasons. It was a day for the youth at Wildwood. Tadd Morris was the first place finisher in the official 5K AGCS race with a time of 18:46. Becki McClintock was the first female finisher, nipping at Tadds heels with a time of 18:52, and Kyle Snyder was third with a time of 18:58. The second place female finisher was Diane Gutshall finishing at 25:29. We ran the 5K race in the usual counter clockwise direction around the lake and then for those energetic souls who wanted to run a 10K, reversed the second half of the race and ran clockwise around the lake. Although there had been rumors about Becki trying to sabotage Tadds initial run, they teamed up to finish the 10K together with a time of 39:05. Some runners werent satisfied even with 10 kilometers and just kept on going. Kyle ran the course 3 times and Diane did an extra 2 miles on the towpath. Congratulations to all of our runners! Official times were as follows:
